    How it works



    1. Post a Job/Project (EMPLOYER ACCOUNTS)

    • An employer is able to post projects after login or signup on the site.
    • Job/Project submission are free.
    • Once submitted, the Job/project is reviewed and approved according to our post guidelines 
    • Kibarua instantaneously block scammers and project owners who do not comply to our guidelines.
    • Do not share any external hyperlinks, emails phone numbers or any other from of contact details in the Job/project submission page. Employers are only allowed to share these details in the “WorkSpace” which has chat features and file sharing capabilities.

    2. Job Application/Bid a Project (WORKER ACCOUNTS)

    • Job seekers/Business profile/Freelancers can find different jobs/projects on the main page and start applying to join the interested project by clicking on the “Apply” button. 
    • Kibarua charges a one-time license fee of Ksh.99. You will be provided a key to enable your account and be able to apply on jobs. Visit to purchase one
    • Jobs/projects marked with emblem (‘Orange’ on desktop, ‘Blue’ on mobile are Kibarua certified and should only be applied onsite using the ;orange’ Apply ‘orange”button.
    • Jobs not marked are listing from other sites. These opening can be applied on client websites. application details are below the listing
    • Kibarua listings have gone  manual vetting process and are highly legitimate, also available on Google Jobs
    • Employers can also invite the freelancers via their profiles as well to apply for Kibarua jobs. 

    Follow these steps to make your profile visible to employers
    Login to your account
    On the Right  top corner click on the profile picture icon to access the Right pane

    Click the button labelled “Available” to make your profile public to employers (It should be Green in color and marked “Yes”) Still on this pane, click on 
    (a)”Account details”(b) “Profile details” & (c) “Project details” to update your profile details
    On the “Profile details” tab check/tick  the box labeled “Receive emails about projects that match your categories”  to stay tuned to Kibarua updates that match your skills

    NOTE Make sure that all settings are completed .To close the pane, click on the logo icon on the main screen
    You can now start bidding on projects posted on Kibarua.

    3. Accept a Bid

    • Employer will review this bid in the project detail page and decide to accept or ignore this bid.
    • Kibarua as an employer also posts projects on behalf of recruiters or employers. However, we do not involve ourselves in the bid selection- its the work of the employer (Bid selection is a subjective process)
    • When employer chooses the most suitable freelancer to work his project, he clicks the “Accept” button on the bid list.

    4. Open the Workspace

    • Once a bid acceptance, both employer and freelancer can open the workspace to have further discussion regarding the project.
    • In this page, they can send a private message to each other and offer attached files as well.
    • Contacts details can be exchanged here

    5. Complete the project

    • Employer will review this project when the freelancer finishes.
    • If the employer is satisfied with this project, he clicks the “Finish” button and writes a review for the freelancer.
    • This project is now considered as Completed, the freelancer will press “Review & Complete” button to review and rate back for the employer.
    • If the employer isn’t happy with the freelancer’s performance after reviewing the project, he can hit the “Close” button to send a dispute to the admin
    • Note: Kibarua does not take part in contracts made between an  employer and a worker. We only provide a platform for selection of suitable candidates for projects/jobs posted by employers
